Waiting for a switch opener so using these unlubed at the moment, even stock, these switches give such a deep, satisfying sound signature and a really smooth typing experience. Could not recommend more.
The have such a satisfying bottom out, smooth travel and the sound is deep, poppy and chalky. I found them as smooth and if not smoother than Durock Lavernders. An absolute pleasure to type on. I need more 😂
The Konpeitous come unlubed from the factory, as opposed to other popular JWK switches of recent time. Lubing and filming is highly recommended. They go particularly well with polycarbonate TX films. Once lubed and filmed they are just as smooth as the smoothest switches out there such as the Alpaca V2, or Tangies. The full nylon housings and long POM, or mystery-material (JX) stems produce a very tight, and deep sound, sitting close the the extreme end of the thocky spectrum. The sound signature is almost identical, or, in any case very similar to that of Black Cherry Pies. The only aspect where these switches don't shine is the stem wobble which is not as good as with the Alpaca V2s or Tangies, for example. However, the wobble is good enough that you wouldn't be able to tell the difference in real-life typing conditions, in my opinion. To sum up, if you love a deep, thocky sound signature, with ultra premium smoothness, have no reservations about trying these out.
